Describe The Relationship Between Brain Activity And Pruning

Brains are amazing! The two passages, “Embarrassed? Blame Your Brain” and “Use It or Lose It: A good brain pruning” describe many different relationships happening inside one’s brain. One relationship is between brain activity and embarrassment. Brain activity and change causes imbalance, which leads to stress and embarrassment. On the contrary, the second relationship is all about neurons and the pruning of the brain. Neurons create networks that cause people to remember experiences that we repeat. This causes us to specialize our brain towards the things we use the most. The relationships between brain activity and embarrassment and neurons and pruning differ in their causes, effects, and various benefits. The relationships between brain activity and embarrassment and neurons and pruning definitely are different in their causes. The causes of embarrassment are hormones and brain activity. The brain activity causes an imbalance in the brain systems. These cause stress and embarrassment.

The benefit of embarrassment and stress is quite fascinating. The pain makes us nicer. According to Jennifer Connor-Smith, author of “Embarrassed? Blame Your Brain”, “Brain scans show that teens with strong pain-response systems give more support to other kids.” This shows that this pain might be helpful in the long run. The benefits of brain pruning are also helpful. As mentioned earlier, brain pruning specializes our brain. Though we might lose some of the networks we do not use, we strengthen the ones we need. This helps us to be better at the things we need or want to do. These benefits are very different, but both
