The reaction of her mother is indicative of the fact that this is a concern for their family and their heritage. This shows the overarching issue about the education system not being inclusive of all cultures as they should be in a multicultural country.…

The statue of Menkaure and a queen, probably Khamerernebty II is a notable statue uncovered by the archaeologists excavating in Menkaure's valley temple. Menkaure was an Egyptian king ruling during the Old Kingdom and is remembered for his famous tomb, the Pyramid of Menkaure. Like the other kings who preceded him, Menkaure had several wives, Khamerernebty II and Rekhter. Like many of the other sculptures that preceded this, the artist used the same canon, having the hands being straight beside the human body and the king standing next to his queen. The canon sculpture and its placid nature of the statue contributes to the idea of the pharaoh representing the king going by the belief that gods possess, or take residence, within the pharaoh’s…

All countries have their differences, there is no way around it. Even with this fact, almost all countries can share a similarity or two. Any country will tell anyone and everyone that it cares for its citizens, this is what they would want the public to believe. Although the rights of men appear to be the main focus of two of the documents, the Declaration of Independence will rarely mention rights, and the other two documents give vague descriptions of rights. Some rights may be interpreted to have a deeper meaning, or simply no meaning at all when looked at from a less straightforward point of view.…

Rudyard Kipling demonstrates a negative, disgusted view of imperialism in the British Empire. He uses his story, “The Man Who Would Be King,” to convey his message. This novella follows the story of two characters, Dravot and Carnehan, who set out on an adventure to Kafiristan with the goal of becoming kings there. Throughout this journey, Kipling’s dissatisfaction with the British empire is made known. The egotistical behavior of leaders, lack of ‘noblesse oblige,” and continued need for materialistic gain are just three of his main displeasures.…
