Almost every time I go to my field experience I usually help the same two girls. One of them is blond and the other a brunette. They’re both second graders who have the same class together, so their homework assignment are always the same. The fact that both girls share the same classes and homework really allows me to observe their different ways of learning. The blond is a visual learner and often uses color pencils and highlighters when she is doing her spelling homework. While the brunette has to write down her spelling words multiply times in order to remember how to spell them correctly. …show more content…
She had to read a book and then write some detail about each character in the book. While she had to difficulties while reading the book, she did have some trouble comprehending the story. Instead of writing details about each character she just wanted to copy random lines out from the book and be done. Turned out she didn’t know what the word detail meant, and that sometimes she does not understand what she is supposed to do for homework. Now I know that if I work with her again I’ll start by looking at what she has for homework and explaining anything she does not
