Something I have regret doing is messing around at soccer and getting put on a team that I don't belong on and while my friends where focusing and trying and putting effort and showing that they care and getting put on the better team. Why I chose to horse around is because other people were also messing around and I my friends were not so then after that I have put full effort in anything even in practice and to always to give it 100%. I regret doing this because this now affects the way I look to people and the coaches so now i'm not likely to be on that list for people that care but later in the season I did my best and was told you are on the 1st team so now I need to focus and give it my all every

There were many decisions that I had to make in order to positively impact the team. One of these was kicking a teammate of the team due to an incident at a party on the weekend. I could have either voted to not kick him off which would make the football team look bad and show other players they can get away with the same act. Or kick him off showing the school the football team takes pride in being a good example around the school and show the underclassmen that we do not put up with what this player partook in. Furthermore, we did kick the player off the team in turn looking at the bigger picture of the team as a whole and not my own personal…

In the Spoon river Anthology, Edgar Lee Masters develops regret in his poems, Richard Bone, Doc Meyers, and Mrs. Merrit. Throughout the whole book regret is shown in almost every poem, but the three I listed above are the strongest ones. The first poem I picked was Richard Bone. This poem is about the guy that carves the epitaphs in the headstones. At first he didn't know what to think about his job, it seemed odd to him what some of the people brought him to write.…

The biggest mistake I would say that I have made in high school has been becoming less active in our local HOSA chapter. My freshman and sophomore year, I was a notoriously active member in HOSA, participating in ever service project, competing in district and state competitions, and arranging school events. However, my junior year I began my employment and faced the most difficult classes I had ever faced; my attendance to meetings began to dwindle and I eventually found myself becoming an inactive member. I wish, instead of getting my job, I continued my active role in HOSA. I loved my job but my experiences with HOSA were more beneficial to my future.…

Remorseful Interpretations The poems that will be compared to one another throughout this paper include, “What I Did Wrong” by Marie Howe, and “Poem of Regret for an Old Friend”, by Meghan O’Rourke. Each have very similar topics that are being discussed by the authors : including feelings of regret, anger, and an overall longing to have done more throughout life but they have very different tones associated with it. In addition to this, Howe’s poem has a much more violent tone than O’Rourke’s and it hints at abusive gestures and a very difficult life that also deals with looking back at the person’s life through memories.…

“Beep Beep Beep” It is 5 am and my hand can’t make it to the alarm clock before the voices in my head start telling me that it is too early and too dark to get up. But I did not ask for their opinion, I rise like a phoenix and before I know it, I am drenched in sweat and walking out an empty gym in route to the soccer field. Why you ask because I was told I was not good enough, too uncoordinated, and too tall to play soccer and I was on a mission to prove them wrong. There was a month left before the traveling soccer team that everyone told me I was not good enough to play for came back to town for their yearly tryouts.…
