Describe George Leland Elementary School

Improved Essays
The George Leland Elementary School was in an area that I thought it would be in. The building around it were run down and plain. The community was very low income and there was trash on the streets. The community did not have a lot of color and had very minimal stores. Nothing in the community looked like it was brand new, therefore I figured the school would look the same way. When we got to the elementary school, it was just a brick building in a fenced in grass area. When I walked into the elementary school, I saw exactly what I thought it would be like. Right when I walked in, I had to walk through a metal detector and then walked up a flight of stairs. This made me feel a little uncomfortable because I was wondering why they have metal

It was April 20th, 1999 when a slight breeze filled the sky, enjoying the cool winds I rocketed towards school. Arriving at school, I felt like a log flowing down a river stream, and then suddenly a loud "Bzzzzz" echoed down the halls. The hallways felt like a school of fish viciously running away from a predator hunting them down. In a matter of seconds, everything calmed down and the first period started. A sudden rumbling sound came out from my stomach, as I anxiously waited for the lunch bell to ring.…

Only my clock was touched and I did not give it much thought since I was panicking needing to get ready for school although as soon as i walked out of my room I was greeted by my brother who erupted in a string of “sorry” over and over. I said I did not have time we needed to get ready.…

My First Time Babysitting It was a dark rainy Friday evening, school just let out for the weekend and I was free except I still had one thing to do left, as I was doing a weird walk jog across the campus while trying not to get soaked just to get to the main building, as my phone started to make this weird ringing noise and obviously I got a bunch of looks. When I looked at my phone I saw that my dad was calling me and when I answered my dad told me not to walk home in the rain and just wait it out. Once I got to the main high school building, I walked through the maze of hallways and lockers, and finally just finally I made it to the front of the building. It was still pouring down rain when I looked out of the window, by this time the storm was almost through…
