An Active Shooter is defined as an individual that engages in killing or attempts to kill people in a confined and populated area. Active Shooting leaves little to no time for planning and requires immediate law enforcement action. This happens to be one of the greatest threats college campuses. There is typically no specific profile to describe an Active Shooter. When an Active Shooting occurs, the officer automatically has to protect all the are involved. His or her life no longer matters at this point. The goal is to get everybody out of the area safely. The officer that spoke gave us a breakdown of Active Shootings at Institutions of Higher Education. The breakdown showed that 12 shootings resulted in 60 killings and 60 wounded. It also
