When having multiple commitments at one time I find the easiest way to successfully accomplish all the tasks is to always complete my hardest and most important task first. For example I have three children to take care of while attending school which can be a lot to handle somedays. My solution is to always get the kids settled first, wake up, change diapers, and get breakfast. While the kids are eating and watching their morning show, I will do my first homework assignment that is the next to be due. After breakfast is done I will clean the house while the kids play. Shortly after it is lunch time. When lunch is finished it is time to relax and have movie/naptime. While the kids nap I will try and accomplish most of if not all of my biggest …show more content…
How did you handle the situation? A time when I did not agree with a policy in a class that I was taking was when I was taking anatomy and physiology 2. During that semester I was taking fifteen credit hours and 5 months pregnant. My goal was to accomplish the semester and have my baby in June when he was due. My baby unfortunately had other plans. When I was 27 weeks pregnant my little baby boy decided he wanted to try and come early. I was air lifted to Loyola hospital the day before I had an exam and lab practical in Anatomy and physiology. The doctors were able to stop the contractions but wanted me to stay a week in the hospital just to make sure I was not going to go into labor again. I contacted my teachers and all were understanding of the situation and worked with me for the missed days. Except anatomy and physiology the teacher had a very strict rule stating No make ups. With missing that test I would have had to of gotten 100% on all of the remaining work for the semester to pass the class. With all the complications going on with my pregnancy I knew that was not promising so I had to unfortunately drop out of the class for that semester which meant there being a withdrawal on my transcripts. Although I was disappointed my baby’s health was my main priority. I retook the class the following semester. I had an amazing teacher the second time and I enjoyed what I was learning. …show more content…
When I go to study for my science classes I first read through the whole chapter that we are learning and highlight all of the main ideas in each section. I then look through my teachers PowerPoints and highlight all of the words that the teacher put in bold. Finally when I go back and read through the chapter again I will try and connect anything I find with the highlighted word I also will find specific key words to connect terms. Another way I usually prepare for my tests would be to use the sites available that have practice questions on the information that we are learning at that time. I found having practice questions helps me to look at what I am learning from a different

I would do one half of one paper and go to the next page of homework and do the same thing I did for the first paper. I would keep doing this until I got both papers done but when doing so I would get distracted by the conversation I was having on the phone.
