The venue, The Bomb Factory, was incredible. The building, originally used for manufacturing Ford automobiles in the 1900’s, was commissioned during World War II to produce bombs and ammunition for armed forces, hence the name. The brick factory created an awesome setting for a concert, and the history was a cool detail that added to its character. The audience’s attitude and actions varied throughout the night. I’m glad I had the chance to see both unfamiliar and familiar bands live. From the slower, quieter songs which pierced your heart with poetic lyrics and somber sounds to the upbeat songs that made you feel like everything would be alright. There’s nothing like the deafening music and cheers, the sound of the crowd singing along, and the feeling that everyone is suddenly on the same wavelength. Personally, as someone who has always loved words and learning how to better make use of them, I feel like music that has lyrics such as the ones The Neighbourhood, Manchester Orchestra, and Chappo have is the only kind of music that can really provide that level of
