Intertextuality is the idea that there is only one story, and authors use the ideas and events of other stories to create their own story. In a way, every piece of literature is connected to one another. One example of intertextuality is between the movies, Descendants, High School Musical, and Grease. One thing that all three of these movies have in common is that they share the same director, Kenny Ortega, who started his directing days with the hit movie Grease. In these movies, we have a bunch of high school kids who sing and dance and are trying hard to be apart of another group or clique.
