Imagine with me this scene playing out something like this:
The brisk morning air rustled uneasily through the leaves of the black forest as you slowly approach its entrance. Your mount grunts reluctantly as you coax it forward along the narrow path leading into the twisted and thorny trees. Bain, a Dergan warrior …show more content…
Its skin shifting colors from the deep dark green of the tree’s leaves to a light multi-tone gray and brown as its claws rip Bain from his mount pinning him helplessly to the hard stony pathway. Bain rapidly shifts his head back and forth in an attempt to avoid its powerful saber tooth like jaws snapping wildly at his face, its large saber canines clanking loudly against Bain’s metal helm. Addressing them both in a commanding voice, “In any event, we must move on and be all the more vigilant. We must reach Therance by nightfall or I’m afraid all may be lost”.
The three friends ride onward ever more cautiously for they know that this encounter will not be their last on the narrow, winding path through the dark forest before they reach the safety of the coastal village of Therance. But there, there along the northern coast is where their real adventure will
