Derek Morgan is extremely dedicated to his job. He is a Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) for the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit. He and his team analyze the crime, and with only the evidence left behind, they, Morgan and his team, are able to determine the probable age and sex of the person, along with the reason the crime was likely committed (and other descriptors) (J. Davis, 2005-2016). It can be incredibly specific and takes much focus and brainpower. He has witnessed and been through so much suffering with this job, but no matter what, he stays, because he knows how valuable his mind is, and how much his service is worth to people. He is a reminder that no matter what people go through, it is still possible to see the beauty in life. Not only that, but his dedication to his job, team, and family is inspirational. It exemplifies the importance of hard work, and the difference between someone who gives their all and someone who is gone as soon as they punch out for the day. It might have been easier for Derek Morgan to simply detach from his work, however for the sake of the people around him, he chooses to work extra hard in order to be the best person that he can be.
