The Clarion also had various articles with a biting and sarcastic humor. The front page of the 1948 issue detailed an enrollment increase at the University especially among veterans of World War Two. The students were also politically active as they began a new club called “Students for Wallace” which supported a politician especially progressive and controversial at the time. Students participated in various sports like football and skiing. The sports section of the paper covered two entire pages detailing many of the games by the university. For example, the paper from 1947 went into extensive detail about a football game about the University of Colorado Boulder. Finally, the Clarion itself featured many articles with a biting sarcastic humor. One article went so far as to compare a dog to an unnamed ex-Chancellor of the
