Dental Office Interview Research Paper

During the couple of years that I have been visiting the dentist, I have gone to quite a few dental offices for different types of dental treatments. I have left many offices for various reasons such like their services being too expensive, their appointments being too short making me feel rushed, and or because of unfriendly attitudes from the staff. Four years ago, I came across Concord Dental, a small private dental office in Lovejoy, Georgia. I decided to give them a try, and I have been with them ever since. This is the main reason why I decided to interview the recently promoted office manager, Vanessa, on the office’s marketing techniques. From previous experiences, walking into Concord Dental is like walking into your second home. The office achieves this by using what is called internal marketing. Internal marketing is a strategy used in order to keep patients coming back to the office for their services. When the receptionist of Concord Dental greets the patients, she says hello but does not just stop there; she asks them about their day, which shows interest. She …show more content…
Vanessa believe hospitality is one of the easiest and most powerful ways to retain patients. She also assures if a patient is not acknowledged and shown respect when they walk in through the door, they will look for that acknowledgement and respect in another dental office. On the other hand, the flyers with offered coupons and new patient discounts successfully attract new patients because the local families are of moderate to low income.
Concord Dental’s current marketing techniques are the only techniques they have always utilized since the beginning. Vanessa says that they have not used any other forms of external marketing mostly because the marketing techniques that they currently utilize are already successful, and the dentist and staff do not find the need to use other means of
