Healthcare will always be one of the leading professions in the job market because the services of healthcare are vital to our society. The healthcare industry is booming because more people have access to healthcare due to the Affordable Health Care Act; therefore, people can go to the doctors more for annual health screening such as dental exams and teeth cleaning. There will always be a demand for dental care. Dental hygienists will be one of the top ten growing fields over the next five tears. According to the 2015 Jobs Rated Report, “dental hygienist is one of the most in-demand professionals and projected at 33% by 2022. (CareerCast 2017.) The first technological improvement is the Dimond Probe, which has been enhanced from the conventional, uncomfortable metal probes used in the past by making them plastic which has added more comfort to the patients.
