Dental Flipper

Improved Essays
Denture flipper costs an average of $300 to $500. Prices depend on the number of teeth required and type of material used. Using wire structures to secure the flipper teeth in place adds to the cost.

Flippers are a temporary replacement of missing teeth when an implant is settling in, or gum healing after an extraction. In both cases, it can take up to six months for healing and during this period, flippers are used.

Some people use dental flippers as a permanent alternative to getting bridges or implants but this is not a recommended option. Flippers cost less but they are not sturdy enough to withstand the chewing of certain foods. Because the acrylic presses on the gums, there can be breakdown of the gum or mouth tissue.
