Dental coverage for AOG began on January 1, 2000 and the benefits are for a four-year period. The purpose of the Master Claim is to accumulate the benefits paid and/or remaining for the four-year period. If the benefits are not accumulated correctly, this could potentially cause an overpayment of benefits.
To verify if a Master Claim is created for the date of service of the claim view the Patient Accumulator section of Logical Claims Solutions (LCS).
