Both of the dental assistant and front desk lady violated the ethical principle of justice which is just and fair treatment for all. During our Monday lab, we did limited and full mouth rinse for each other, I observed my classmate dropped the saliva ejector on the ground, instead of picking up the ejector and put it back, she just took off her gloves and get another saliva ejector then put it on. The classmate followed an ethical principle of beneficence, because once things dropped on the ground, it would cause cross contamination. and if those contaminated instruments went into patient’s mouth, we can not imagine the result.
