At the student honor recital there was many great performances. The works I am going to talk about are Denneriana and American Suite for Unaccompanied Snare Drum. Different instruments including the piano, clarinet, and snare drum were used in the performance of all these works. The first piece of work I am going to review is Denneriana. A man named Andre Block composed Denneriana in 1960. Callan Backstrom played the clarinet and Rob Shepherd played the Piano in this piece. In this piece it starts off with the clarinet being very bold, and having the piano back it up. The clarinet also goes from playing loud to soft throughout the entire piece.
