Hello, my name is my name is Jacqueline Williams I am 35 years old. I was born and raised in Elkhart, Indiana where I am currently living at now. I’m also wife and a mother of two boys ages 5 and 18 years old. I am a student that attends Indiana Tech working on my BA in Human Service. When I was growing up I was always taught as a child to love and treat people with compassion, and to be honest at all times no matter what was at stake. I always just thought helping people was something people asked for when they needed it. However I always had the passion in me to help people in need. I could remember helping my friends deal with issue and walk them through them it didn’t matter what the issue was; it could be drugs, family or even self-esteem issue. As years went by I treated people with respect. It always broke my heart to see people in need that needed help I wanted to be that person to help them. When working this step you have to make sure you help clients understand what is going on in their life that they need to be aware of and make sure they understand what is going on. They have to have knowledge what is going on within you deep down inside.
Explain Multicultural and Multiethnic considerations relevant to helping others in a therapeutic environment. When working this step I had to show the client what they did affected the community and others and themselves. And they them see the bigger picture.
Describe Ethical issues impacting professional helpers. When I was working this step I saw that a lot of offenders will do they race card like for example the only reason the police arrested them cause of their race. When it really goes deeper than just the race card
