Year 1294 an unknown species begun to spawn all across the world. They are the race known as demons and they have a natural hate towards humanity. No one knew where or why the demons were born but they knew one fact. That demons possessed powers that surpasses the powers of humans.

one by one the countries that was under the control of humanity fell and the demons begun to colonize the former lands of those countries and enslaved the people residing in those lands. As the demon's control over the world increased the lands of humanity was slowly being stolen from them.

The last countries ruled by the humans united to form the first alliance known as the holy knights alliance. But the diffirence in power was obvious and humanity was still defeated

His name was Kaynard and taught the girl named yona the secret arts of dragon's soul and trained her as his successor.

Her silver hair sparkled thanks to the morning sunlight. Her eyes had an odd appearance a golden colored left eye and a amber colored right eye. Her slender yet elegant body was praised by her master.

"How long do I have to train master?"(Yona)

"We needed to train everyday so that our bodies will not be weaken when we face our enemies. We must always be ready to fight and when we fight we need our bodies to be in the best condition they can ever be."(Kaynard)

"Remember if our bodies can't perform the actions that we wanted it to it's because of the lack of strength in your muscles so we need to train everyday to keep ourselves battle ready"(Kaynard)

"Fine master"(Yona)

He smiled at yona and said.

"Fine after you finished swinging your sword then we can go to the shopping district to buy your favorite food"(Kaynard)

When a child is fourteen years old then you can apply to become an apprentice and after two years you can become a knight of the kingdom"(Kaynard)

Yona smiled at his master and said.

"Here is my present to you master"(Yona)

She gave kaynard a sword and when kaynard looked at it he knew it's a sword from the best blacksmith in the kingdom then he said.

"Where did you get this yona"(Kaynard)

"Secret"(Yona)

His smile gave joy too yona and together they went to the market to buy yona's favorite food. But these peaceful days will not last

We as the readers get to see the identity struggle that Barry went through as child that relates to the process of Filipina American representation (De Jesus, 2).
