Democratic Party Vs Republican Parties Essay

Democratic and Republican Parties each have separate bases that help build the party. The members of each separate base though have characteristics that can predict which party they are apart of. For instance, women and minorities have a higher chance of being apart of the Democratic Party while white men tend to be apart of the Republican Party. From basic information you can predict what party a person is member of. The prediction will not always be right as there are always exceptions to every rule. With a high degree of certainty, a political scholar would peg me as a member of the Republican Party. Based on area where I grew up, race, gender, and other background information. I was born in Western Kansas, but moved to ranch outside of Post, Texas (Garza County) that is located about an hour southeast of Lubbock. Both of these areas are known for being very conservative and vote heavily Republican. Lubbock is considered to be one of the most conservative cities in the United States. A common theme with both these locations is the very low population density. The more rural parts of the United States tend to be the most conservative. A high percentage of white males in rural areas are members of the Republican party. My family also has some money and owns a large ranch. People in the upper classes, particularly in rural areas, tend to be Republican. When I lived on the ranch, my family consistently went to church, and I was part of the founding of my churches youth Group. Since I also attend a private university with the word Christian in the title, this also improves my chances of being a Republican.
