What is democracy? Democracy is a state policy that let’s the people have a say into what should happen in the state. Being eligible to make choices toward the state. The foundations of a democracy contains worthy of the individuals, equality of all people, compromise, majority rule, minority rights, and individual freedom. These types of foundations are what makes a state fair. Although democracy is a good policy, throughout the years racism has increased rather than decreasing. Racism has been present throughout the years, but lately there has been an increasingly amount of racism throughout the state due to this year's president election. Even before the president's election there was previously racism but with the current president trump before he got the position, he had brought out some details that dealt with racism. Saturday, August 12 in Charlottesville Virginia the citizens had started out a peaceful protest but ended up in a hazardous racist event. August 8th, 2017 a man had threatened a fellow rider in the train, the man said “get the f--k out my country before I murder your whole f--king nation.”. We need to make the people open their minds and rather than to open their mouths, to think before they speak. Although there are people who might not agree with my ideas, it’s better to prepare the future for greatness rather than to prepare for future wars due to the racism. Having the nation make programs that could teach how racism may think it’s a small thing but could eventually escalate into harsh consequences. If we teach the young adults about racism and how it can affect the world in a negative aspect, we could change their behavior and have a new perspective. As well as the adults, they need to be aware of what they need to teach their children from what's right or
