For a large portion of my life, I felt different amongst others in terms of sexual orientation. I’m not gay, lesbian, or bisexual. In addition, I cannot define myself as purely heterosexual. I’m something that has been more of an implicit sexual orientation. I’m demisexual. According to the Demisexuality Resource Center, “demisexuality is a sexual orientation in which someone feels sexual attraction only to people with whom they have an emotional bond” (2015).
