Demi Lovato’s Simply Complicated Life We see celebrities and most of us are envious, we see the fame and the popularity that comes with being famous and we want that- we want the popularity and we want the rich and lavish lifestyle but don’t see the dark, unfortunate parts that are a cost that comes with fame. Demi Lovato began as a child actress on Barney whose career skyrocketed after starring in Disney’s original movie series Camp Rock. After starring in the films, she starred in her own Disney show Sonny with a Chance and now is a Grammy nominated Solo Artist who is about to go on a worldwide tour. She was promoting sobriety and how important it is to be sober when she was behind the scenes smuggling drugs anywhere she could get them. She started using drugs and alcohol at such a young age “The former Disney star comes clean about her addiction in her new YouTube series, Simply Complicated, admitting she was still using even when promoting a "sober lifestyle" to the public” (Longman). The media and the public and was fooled into thinking she was getting treatment and getting better but she was getting worse and worse and most didn’t have an idea what’s going on. Things turned for the worse when she had her infamous episode on a tour stop. After a show while on tour she had people over to her hotel room and they all were drinking and smoking and trashed the room and when the workers of the hotel asked what happened one of her friends told the Jonas Brothers’ father that Lovato was using and when word got back to Lovato she was furious (Dest). At that point Lovato was angry and knew she had to do something to the person who told so on the airplane to Peru she boarded and saw the backup dancer already on, she walked up to her and assaulted her and then walked to her seat and fell …show more content…
