I've always had a notion of becoming a member of delta sigma theta, but I didn't legitimately understand why I wanted to be a part of this soroity until I did my research and participated in events that was hosted by different chapters of Delta Sigma Theta. My first experience was when I accompanied my Aunt Joan to the Prince George's Alumnae Chapter Annual Scholarship Benefit Fashion Show and Luncheon at the age of thirteen. Encountering in 5-10 minutes of conversation had absolutely mad a tremendous impact on my life. Along with researching diligently I found out about the organization more in depth. From learning about the the founders and how they could set aside their difference and come together with the mindset and desire to be leaders
