I am a part of the RSOs Gamma Iota Sigma, Delta Sigma Pi, and Hewett Manchester Student Association, each of which have their own individual benefit. Delta Sigma Pi has given me the skills of a professional, like learning how to interview and conduct myself. My goal is to be president of this organization one day and I have begun to prepare for this by already taking a position within the Fraternity. Delta Sigma Pi is great, but I believe that Gamma Iota Sigma is the best organization for helping me complete what I hope to accomplish in the next five years. This is due to expansive network I have seen Gamma Iota Sigma has to offer. The events that Gamma holds allows me to network with companies and employees within the insurance industry. This enables me to really see how the industry works and helps me make those connections during the search for internships and eventually, a job. I am also looking to take on positions in Gamma Iota Sigma the next two years. I really want to make sure I give back more to the organization than it given to me by the time I graduate. I have grown up in a household where grades always come first and as a college student I have kept this belief. My goal for college is to finish with a 3.80 GPA or higher and to have as many honors as I can when I graduate. I have done a pretty good job with doing this thus far in my college career. I received Deans List the spring semester of 2015 and as of right now I hold a 3.66 cumulative GPA and that will increase after grades are officially in for this semester. I believe I have found a good balance between my studies and my extracurricular activities, and with this balance, I know it will help me prepare for any internship or job I will come across in the insurance world. I know it is important that I continue to improve every semester that I am in college and take on new challenges with every opportunity that presents itself. I am always looking to build my professional network and find new ways to improve my resume. I am proud to say that failure is not in my vocabulary and I plan on working as hard as necessary to achieve these goals that I have set for
