Delphine And Pia Dialectical Journal

Pia woke up to a sharp jab into her left side and Delphine right in her face. She had dark skin and luminous, brown eyes. “Wake up, sunshine. Today will be a wonderfully bright day,” she sang. Pia groaned while rolling over. Delphine was a seer, but could only predict the weather and loved to crack jokes about it.
“Let’s hope that Zak is bright enough to have this plan work,” Pia said. She sat up and stretched. The sun poured through the window and illuminated her small servant's quarter. Delphine and Pia were part of the Winter Court, however, they were part of a rebellion group known as the Chaos that was trying to free the Court of Queen Coraline’s cruelty. “You have nothing to worry about. Delphine will go with Estella to take out the Queen’s main guards. You will come with me to gain her notice and allow me to introduce you to her. Did you two put the powder in the food?” Pia nodded her head. They worked in the kitchen, so they slipped a powder that disables the Elves gifts. The powder will help to dull the Queen’s powers. “Reese should have gotten the dose right. If not a hundred sleeping elves should let us know.” “I’m the best alchemist of this century. A hush fell over the room when the Queen walked in. The temperature dropped as she walked towards her throne at the front of the ballroom. Her gown was black as night and offset her milky, white skin. She sat on a throne made of human bones that gleamed in the light. She waved her hand and the crowd began to murmur. The tension was high as no one wanted the Queen’s personal attention. Everyone except …show more content…
I am High Lady Octavia. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” The Queen’s eyes slit, but her interest was piqued. She waved them forward to join her by the throne. Pia’s stomach grew queasy as she stared at the bones on the throne. “Now why is the Summer Court willing to cooperate with my Court so suddenly?” Coraline purred. Pia began to describe a fictional rut the Court found itself in. Delphine had begun to lure the Queen’s guards away slowly. Once the last one was gone Pia made her move. “Do you think we could take a look at the trading supplies? I have no time tomorrow since I must be back at the Court during our troubling times.” The Queen glanced at Zak, but he had been a statue the whole time. “That will be no problem. Come along.” They walked down the glittering halls of the Court’s castle. Delphine was trailing behind, but hid in the shadows. Hopefully, the powder had made the Queen sluggish enough that she took no notice. They entered into a large storage building that contained towers of
