I missed this question because I confused both delinquent gangs and violent gangs in the test. Both of these gangs were violent, but I did not take into account the organization of the delinquent gangs. I believed because the gang was described as delinquents that they would be an unorganized gang with loose affiliation, and have violent tendencies. Delinquent gangs are more organized than violent gangs; because they do more than just fight they are committing crimes for profit. I did not study this part carefully and since I got caught up in the delinquent aspect of the gang and thus discounted some of their other features that make the gang.

In class we discussed that culture is comprised of shared values, norms, behavioral patterns, mind-sets and beliefs. What was an example we used to describe how we are part of living culture? I missed this question because I believed that the Unity clap was the example we used in class to symbolize that we are in a living culture. I believed that since we perform the Unity clap in every class that it would be something that tied into behavioral patterns and a norm of the culture of our classroom. I completely forget the time we sang the ABC’s to show how no matter where we come from we all knew the ABS’s as a shared behavior. We sang the ABC’s multiple times too, so it was repeated for us to remember. I missed this one mainly since I failed to remember the multiple times we sang the ABC’s in class.
