Dehydration Synthesis Video Analysis

This video represents a hands on activity that teaches how the process of Dehydration Synthesis and Hydrolysis really work. The teacher used sponges as her props to displays these two processes; it played out quite well. In describing what Dehydration Synthesis is, she pointed out that when something is “dehydrated” water is removed from it. When the monomer went through Dehydration Synthesis, water was taken away to create a bond. Just the opposite occurred for the process of Hydrolysis. Instead of removing the water, it was added and it created a bond. “Hydro” She broke down each word into parts explaining them clearly, so viewers could engage in a better understanding. I found this video very helpful. I understand these two processes so
