Have you ever pondered why human beings communication skills are decreasing and why people are most likely to have health problems? Well this is because technology has become an immense distraction for people and has harmed their health. Although some people argue it connects people faster, technological advancements has dehumanized people and destroyed their health. Some people suggest technological advancement has been beneficial. For example, they argue technology makes communication more efficient. Yes, cell phones allow people to quietly and quickly send text messages to others without disturbing anyone. However, despite their ease, text messages frequently lead to misunderstandings between the recipient and the sender because emotion and tone two critical features of communication. Additionally, technology advocates point the internet as the lifeblood of knowledge. Yes, in a matter of seconds, one can access breaking news anywhere in the world. It dehumanizes them by being able to communicate effectively. Like for example, social media followers are so used to having “friends” and “likes” on social media that they’re not used to having actual conversations with other people. Relationships also get ruined because now that more people have cell phones, tablets, or even mp3 players they take them everywhere they go. People even use technology when they’re having dinner with their family or friends. That keeps them from socializing with their loved ones.
