Deforestation is Linked to Tiger’s Heading Towards Extinction We have all heard about the beauty of a rain forest and the majestic animals that hide in the shadows, perched in monstrous trees are chirping colorful birds, while basking in the sunlight. The rain forest holds many homes to beautiful and almost forgotten animals such as Tiger’s who are on a brink of extinction. Also, the beautiful trees are producing clean air for everything to live healthier because they are part of carbon offsets (Fighting Climate Change with Forest). For instance, big companies are actively participating in the most dangerous commercial jobs of forest clearing, which is held in the world’s reserves of rain forest, where the almost extinct Tiger lives. …show more content…
The news shines light on current issues like the pipeline in Nebraska but, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t shine light on the extinction of Tiger’s in Southeast Asia due to deforestation. For instance, these large corporate companies are only thinking of ways of putting money in their pockets instead of what environmental harm they are causing. Despite it all, the community needs to tell the public of the issues at hand facing the fate of Tigers. Also, we need to find ways to help raise money for the campaign’s and organizations who fight daily to protect these rainforests and the animals who live in …show more content…
Even if the news doesn’t talk about the issues in Southeast Asia we should spread the word about the Tigers and ways to help bring them back. Sadly, “few people realize that a primary cause of the collapse of the society has been the destruction of the environmental resources on which they depended” (Diamond 181-182). A lot of the issues we cause to our planet is the destruction we put it threw thinking things will get better on their own. Deforestation is one of the largest issues in Asia and around the world. In Southeast Asia, it’s a big issue because it is our rainforest, which should be protected against these assaults. For example, we should try and reduce the negative impacts we cause to the Earth by only thinking of ourselves and the needs of humanity. Another Example, is we need to stop being destructive to our planet. Our environmental impacts we create can be extreme and our natural world can only handle so many treats. If we cut down all the trees what then will happen to the rainforest and what will help provide clean oxygen to humanity? We never consider the mass production, we need to keep up with the increasing numbers of humans and look at the harm it’s causing to our eco-system’s

Deforestation in Southeast Asia Living in a world where humans don’t destroy the environment should be something people wish to achieve. Deforestation is one of many things that should change because not only does it affects our wildlife but it will eventually affect humans as well. Southeast Asia, specifically, is losing their forests at a very rapid pace mostly due to agricultural activities, logging, and the furniture export market. Therefore, there should be stricter laws put into place and for every tree that is cut down there should be a young tree planted. The importance of trees should be recognized by everyone.…

Animal Endangerment in Brazil Brazil is home to some of the world’s most diverse wildlife, with over 2,900 animal species occupying in the Amazon rain forest. (Animals) These animals serve an important role in the world’s ecosystem, but are quickly becoming endangered. Although the extinction of animals is a natural occurrence, human activities has quicken their rate of becoming extinct. From early European colonists and settlers, to deforestation, and to animal smuggling, the number of species in the Brazilian rain forests are rapidly decreasing, but with the endangerment of animals, comes the formation of organizations that are making an effort to help conserve the rainforests where these animals live and limit the factors which are putting…

Depleting the tree population will largely affect the amount of carbon taken in by the rainforest, thus leaving large amounts of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This relates back to Hardin’s cow pasture example. Hardin explains that “Likewise, the oceans of the world continue to suffer from the survival of the philosophy of the commons. Maritime nations still respond automatically to the shibboleth of the "freedom of the seas." Professing to believe in the "inexhaustible resources of the oceans," they bring species after species of fish and whales closer to extinction.”.…

Commercial Genocide The Earth and the gifts it gives are being exploited to earn money. This is because of worldwide deforestation. Countries destroy their trees to earn an easy profit at the cost of the Earth’s forests. Deforestation is used to create plantations, clear land for real estate development, and to harvest paper or wood. According to Kerry Cesareo and Linda K. Walker of the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF), “46-58 thousand square miles of forest are lost each year.” Fortunately, there have been many advancements in deforestation research and some nations have pushed for action to prevent further destruction of the Earth’s forests.…

My opinion is that deforestation is wrong and shouldn’t be done in any part of the world because it destroys the natural cycle of the rain forests and it’s hurting the environment of the region. There are many environmental issues that harm the processes of nature. “ Reforestation in the temperate forests in northern California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska has a lot of controversy behind it” (Earth’s Vanishing Forests 111). The controversy is that loggers cut down trees, then replant the trees that they want for their businesses and they aren't trying to conserve the naturality of the temperate rain forests and preserving their beauty. These temperate rainforests are home to old-growth trees, old-growth trees or forests are forests that have survived about 120 years without experiencing severe, stand-replacing disturbance- a fire, windstorm, or logging (Minnesota Department of Natural Resources).…

It says that suppressing all fires in forests is one of the worst forest management decisions ever, and that forests can recover on their own without human intervention. The author believes that humanity should discontinue the logging process everywhere, and trust that the forests will return too a healthy state. The author also suggests that fire prevention can be conducted much more efficiently by doing things at the local level. Some examples of this include cleaning your gutters regularly, landscaping the areas around your home with hardwood trees, cleaning your chimney often, and owning a garden hose that can stretch to any part of your property just in case an incident strikes. By doing simple things like this, each household will be better protected from uncontrolled…
