Deforestation is Linked to Tiger’s Heading Towards Extinction We have all heard about the beauty of a rain forest and the majestic animals that hide in the shadows, perched in monstrous trees are chirping colorful birds, while basking in the sunlight. The rain forest holds many homes to beautiful and almost forgotten animals such as Tiger’s who are on a brink of extinction. Also, the beautiful trees are producing clean air for everything to live healthier because they are part of carbon offsets (Fighting Climate Change with Forest). For instance, big companies are actively participating in the most dangerous commercial jobs of forest clearing, which is held in the world’s reserves of rain forest, where the almost extinct Tiger lives. …show more content…
Which are one of the most formidable carnivores on the planet, and yet, amber-coated and patterned with black flames, one of the most beautiful of creatures (A Cry for The Tiger). Many tourist come from around the world to take photographs of them or seek just the cat’s presence because, Tigers have a wonderful ability to be stealth among the forest floors making them fascinating to study and capture on tape. They also, have wonderful night vison and large teeth that can crush bones of their prey with a single bite (A cry for a Tiger). These mammals walk high with large razor sharp claws that retract like they do on domesticated cats sitting in our living rooms. Thus, there is nothing like them in the world and there are only a few in the rain forest’s around the world because of the human’s causing a negative impact. Scientist claim that we are in a crisis called, “Holocene extinction event where numbers such as one in four mammals, one in eight birds, one in three amphibians, one in three conifers and other gymnosperms are at risk of extinction” (Whitty 173). The news shines light on current issues like the pipeline in Nebraska but, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t shine light on the extinction of Tiger’s in Southeast Asia due to deforestation. For instance, these large corporate companies are only thinking of ways of putting money in their pockets instead of what environmental harm they are causing. Despite it all, the community needs to tell the public of the issues at hand facing the fate of Tigers. Also, we need to find ways to help raise money for the campaign’s and organizations who fight daily to protect these rainforests and the animals who live in
