Definitions and History:
Sickle Cell Anemia is a genetically passed disease. Instead of having normal disc – like red blood cells, a person would end up producing semicircular (sickle) shaped blood cells. This turns into a huge problem because the semicircular shaped blood cells block the blood flow within the blood vessels, which happen to carry inside them a protein known as hemoglobin, which ends up carrying oxygen from the lungs to the rest of your body. This is able to cause excruciating pain as well as ruining organs, because of this, a person will become more prone to getting infections.

Abstract
There are many reasons why people could be fatigued, suffer the pain of headaches, or look paler than usual. If you ever think to look deeper into the reasons as to why a person would have these symptoms, the person may find that they are worse off than thought to be. The person may show cells that are sickle shaped when sought out for information from a physician. In this paper, Sickle Cell Anemia is looked at in depth.
Research papers, medical journals, and YouTube videos were used to come up with all the data stated with this research paper.
Some of the results found within this information vary due to the many different topics discussed over Sickle Cell Anemia.
In conclusion, the cause of Sickle Cell Anemia was found, when and how to treat the symptoms, how to diagnose the disease, as well as the complications caused by this disease. Also it was found that you can check for Sickle Cell Anemia as early as ten weeks pregnant, which is suggested for any woman who is having a child just because you can never be too careful when it comes to a child. These results can be useful for those wanting to learn more about Sickle Cell Anemia, as well as the symptoms to look for before going to get a diagnostic for the disease and being completely
