Summary of Instruction Activities

I am teaching two sections of ACCT4250, Auditing I, in Fall 2015. I have taught undergraduate core course ACCT2251, Introduction to Financial Accounting, and ACCT4250, Auditing I and graduate core course ACCT6640, Auditing Theory & Practice I, since Fall 2014, my first term of teaching at CUS-East Bay. My average student evaluation for the academic year 2014-2015 is 1.48 based on the university teaching evaluation questionnaire Q1-Q8. My quantitative teaching evaluations ranged between 1.42-1.97 in Fall 2014. I improved the student evaluation to 1.29-1.65 in Winter 2015 and to 1.22-1.40 in Spring 2015. The average student GPA from my classes is 2.81.
In 2015, I have received Online & Hybrid Course Quality Transformation Grant from the Office of the Online Campus, Academic Affair. This grant provides support for me to improve my teaching skills, develop my pedagogical skills, prepare myself for online teaching and get involved with online campus development. The workshop and training for online and hybrid course are beneficial for face-to-face teaching within the classroom setting as well. During the summer of 2015, I attended the Applying the QM Rubric training, which was a two-week online course. I fulfilled all training requirements, successfully passed the tests and received the Certificate of Competition.
