They want to make a better place for everyone. An example of heroism in real life is the leaders of the civil rights movement. They wanted to give rights to all the minority. They also didn't use violence. The fact that they got their ideas across without using violence is truly heroic. They were constantly getting beat, attacked, hated, spat on and all that madness. In an article written by History.com, they said “drawing national and international attention to African Americans’ plight. In the turbulent decade and a half that followed, civil rights activists used nonviolent protest and civil disobedience to bring about change, and the federal government made legislative headway with initiatives such as the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and the Civil Rights Act of 1968.” (History.com). Hotels usually throw away their soaps and other products after they were barely used. From war heroes to Mcdonald workers. They can be anything. But one thing they’re definitely not is people who bring down people. They’re basically bullies. They harm people. They can harm the person physically, socially, mentally, and emotionally. But heroes are the people who endure that. Heroes also aren’t people who give up. It's like a hero versus a villain. The hero usually endures the villain's attacks in the definition we see of heroism. Heroes aren’t people who just sit there and let people control them. They don't let people decide how they’re going to live their life. An example is Frederick Douglass. He managed to escape from slavery. He didn't want to live his life like that. No one did. He spoke for all the enslaved. He became a reformist and abolitionist. He spoke for all the enslaved and everyone who suffered from injustice.
