The word diverse means variety, based on the context of this paper diversity refers to the intermingling of people from all works of live. People are considered diverse when they have been immersed into different cultures and they hold no biases for their own cultures and traditions, they can objectively criticize
Diversity is a word that is definitely not strange in America today. For It is a melting pot of people from all over the world. Considering the fact that I am also an immigrant from Nigeria who had the great privilege of coming to live in this great nation which makes me a living example of America as a very diverse nation. I consider this one of my greatest fortune because it is an opportunity for me live and experience a whole new culture every day. From the fast food cuisine that Americans are well known for, to those unspoken “rules” I finally understand after being here for three years.

I want to experience the world and have a more diverse sense of being. This is a hunger that cannot be satiated by lectures on different cultures or just learning the language. The cultures of other people can be adequately experienced and appreciated if we actually experience it firsthand so that we can respect the countries past, present, and even future.
Similarly, diversity is something that should be highly encouraged in our everyday lives especially in the work place and schools. Because it definitely helps that different people are trying to solve a problem and seeing it through completely different perspectives. Therefore, it is safe to say that diversity increases productivity because with diversity comes creativity. Also, diversity builds character.
