When most people are asked what makes someone a hero they think of people with superpowers, who use their powers to fight villains; soldiers who fight for the freedom of their countries; fictional heroes who face challenges along a great journey; or even someone who helps an old lady across a busy street. The dictionary defines a hero as, “A person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.” All of these characteristics could define a hero, or none of them could, because the word ‘hero’ is a relative term.
