Trust is the firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something. From the time, we were born in an infant stage babies interaction with the mother determines whether an attitude of trust or mistrust will be incorporated into his/her personality. When the mother responds to the infant’s physical need and provide ample affection such as love and security, then the infant will develop a sense of trust. Therefore, when the mother is inattentive, resentful or inconsistent in her behavior, the infant develops an attitude of mistrust, and will become anxious and fearful. It is only when you exemplify care and concern, and protection for an individual that they feel safe enough or confident enough that you can be trusted. …show more content…

We have to wake up and know to follow God when the leader doesn’t do what God has called them to do. It’s not easy all the time but it should be when it comes to one’s own salvation. Yes, it’s understandable that when we do trust, we are taking a chance to getting hurt but we have to try. Remember the check or uneasiness I told you about? We have to use that as a guide because God will allow us to know who we can and cannot trust. Will it be easy all the time no, but we still have to trust God overall. No matter who we are, we have to turn back to God for us to be able to trust anyone. God will reassure us about those who come into our lives about learning how to trust again and sometimes we do get it right. It’s just that the body of Christ is missing the key ingredient to trust. This ingredient is Christ being the foundation of trust, love, peace, and anything else we need. Of course, God is the one person that man should be turning to but for some it will take a man or woman of God to help them get there. No one has to look too hard and see what is going on because it is now front and center. Trust and mistrust comes through any relationship that you can have. It can be through sisters, brothers, any type of family members, with friends, husbands and wives and many more relationships created. The one thing about trust is that someone can allow you to trust them and them not be honest with you and it can cause hurt and pain. Dishonesty can cause a lot of problems in a relationship trying to be build trust. Even more so, it can damage friendship in the making and/or friendship already made.
