What is the meaning of Freedom of Religion? Freedom of Religion has always means the freedom to practice one's religion but now on the upcoming years it means something different, it now means freedom to restrict services against hate, denigate, despise, or oppress others religions. So should religion be kept quiet because the person next to you has different beliefs or should someone be able to speak about their religion without getting the hate? Freedom of religion is the first amendment, this shouldn’t even be a big topic but it is, why should I get judged or silenced when I pray to my God because I’m sitting next to a Atheist or someone who has different beliefs. People in countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia are fighting those battles every day. Women over there have dress codes and strict regulations they have to abide by, even visitors are expected to abide by these rules. For one religion wearing a Hijab is respectful to their God and is the way they live, yet countries around the world have put laws against women wearing their religion. In Turkey they have banned all headscarves from their universities and they are probably the most strict when it comes to blocking out Islam and Muslim religions. Kids will always go off of what their parents say and most American parents don’t like Muslims or Islamic people because they have it thought in their head that all Muslims and Islamic people are terrorists so kids are quick to judge. Not one person on this earth was born with racism or the mindsight that they should judge someone based on their color or religion. It is taught by parents and teachers, racism is still very alive in America. People in the military in America have fought for years and we’ve lost many brave soldiers just so we have our own religion freedoms and are able to express ourselves in anyway we please without getting in trouble or getting that right took away.
