Everyone has their own definition of ethics. I have come to the conclusion that it’s almost impossible to accurately define ethics. Ethics to me is doing what’s best, having good conduct and a good character. Whatever definition you give it leaves room for interpretation and opinions, thus my interest in the ethics club. For instance, an individual who is honest and does not lie is considered to be of good moral character. Yet if a burglar comes into to your house to rob you would you lie about where your money is hidden? Surely in this instance lying doesn’t make you a dishonest person you are just trying to save your own life. Sometimes it appears it more ethical to lie that to speak the truth.
