What is a hero?
If you ask this question of a simple man, your answers are many.
A hero is brave, selfless, honest, strong, kind, relentless, courageous.
In the mind of peasants a hero is perfection. The perfect image of what humans wish to be.
Perfection and heroism are vastly different scales,
And this is where our tale begins. . .
When the gods put the stars in the sky
And water in the seas,
They also created two souls,
One of perfection and one of valor
These souls were intertwined,
One could not succeed without its counterpart
After their creation the souls were set
In the hearts and minds of humans
The gods had now given them a purpose
To protect and love and work together
As the two souls could not succeed apart
