Romance is a term with a plethora of meanings depending on the person you ask. Technically, romance means an emotional attachment or involvement between two people. This essay will reflect how I view romance and my idea of romance is not just about gestures but the actual feeling behind those gestures. In my essay I want to show you what romance means to me. Some people don’t believe that romance exists at all, and then you have people who believe in fairytale romances. One term a lot of people can relate to romance is that it involves unconditional love. First of all, buying a girl flowers on your first date means nothing; buying a girl flowers after you have been together for a while can show many things. Many women are so fascinated by being swept off their feet that they do not realize that the people in these movies don’t have a real connection. Having a connection is actual romance. Having Prince Charming dancing with you at a ball with a flower dangling from his lips is not romantic it is just a romantic gesture. A lot of men including myself adore a girl who can cook. Sometimes instead of going out to eat it just feels so much better for my girl to cook for me and just hangs out at the house. Ultimately, romance is not about your sexual attraction. It is way more than that. I love when my girlfriend makes me laugh so hard that I can barely breathe. One time she made me laugh so hard that I was drinking juice when she made me laugh and the juice squirted out of my nose! It was hilarious. Romance is also the apart of knowing when you are down and when you are happy. Romance is being on the same level with your partner. My girlfriend always knows when I want her to just lay on my lap or just hug me. It is special when she knows I just need dome tender loving
