They are always there for you. They support you. They tell you to your face when you are acting stupid. Confusing, yet necessary, these characteristics describe the phenomenon known as friendship. For most, friendship seems like a familiar concept; but when asked to come up with a definition, finding the exact words to relate the sensation becomes a challenge. Is that because all of these people are lying about having ties with others, or do they simply lack the ability to describe a seemingly simple concept? The answer may forever remain a mystery.
