Definition Essay: What Does Freedom Mean?

Decent Essays
Freedom is a short word, but its meaning is very big. We can live without it if we are forced to but we would be deprived of many things and activities that we take for granted in this country. Freedom can also mean many different things to everyone. Everyone has their own opinion on the topic, some feeling more strongly about it than others.
One thing that comes to my mind when talking about freedom is having the ability to speak my mind without restraint. I have the power to stand up for what I believe in and not get punished like it is in many other countries where if you believe in something that everyone else doesn’t approve of, you can be put to death.
However freedom also means I can do what I want without being watched 24/7 by police
