What does Freedom Mean to Me?
To me, freedom means living with decisions and opportunities everyday, being able to speak your opinion, and standing up for what you believe in without judgement. Freedom plays a crucial part in your lifestyle and most people don’t realize how fortunate America is in comparison to bordering countries and previous decades.
Now that laws have been passed, slavery in America is nearly nonexistent, although, in the past, it was not uncommon. People were forced to work for others as slaves, and were typically mistreated by their irrational owner. Slavery is truly brutal. In addition, I am extremely relieved that I wasn't born in a time where child labor laws were not in place. Numerous children were also forced to
