Did you know that Batman, Superman, Iron Man, or even the Hulk are not the only heroes out there? A hero is imagined as someone who is strong, big, and has ‘superpowers’. Although this is a common misconception however, anyone can be a hero no matter what their size is or what abilities they have. A hero is someone who goes out of their way to help others who need it.
People need heroes to help them with struggles they may have that they cannot solve themselves. Heroes do what we cannot do for ourselves. When talking about heroes’ important traits would be brave, courageous, selfless, and considerate.

A hero is not always known as hero to himself or herself, but as someone who was just doing something good to help someone who needs it. A hero is not just someone seen on a television, they can be right where you are but are being unrecognized.
There are many heroes out in the world. However, some of them stick out more than others. For example firefighters, my mother, and Odysseus are considered heroes to myself. A firefighter is considered a hero because they are brave, courageous, selfless and go out of their way to help those who need it. When thinking of heroes or heroism firefighters come to mind. They risk their lives every time they are called to a fire or an accident. They take their time out of their lives to help people. While interviewing a firefighter he told me he did not consider himself as a hero. He said, “No I don’t see myself as a hero because I see myself doing a job I have to do because no one else has the time or wants to do it”
