What does the word love truly mean? Love could be the act of showing strong feelings for another or love could be a caring relationship with a person that has a considerable amount of impact in one’s life. Love may be associated with many different things, but not all love has to be in regard with a physical person or thing. One type of love is Romance. Romance is more often than not paired with the idea of showing one’s feelings for another in a thoughtful, and sometimes sexual, manner. A man may prepare a romantic, fancy dinner for his wife after her long day at work. A woman may show romance by being affectionate or by wearing that skimpy little dress she knows her husband goes crazy over. Romantic love can be characterized as showing one’s significant other how much passion he or she has for him or her. It can also be considered as the strong relationship one has with another. …show more content…
A man may portray friendly love toward his best friend who has been by his side for many years, much like a woman would too. Like romance, friendly love is having a close relationship with somebody else. Unlike romance, friendly love is on a more moderate scale and may not include such powerful feelings or emotions. When one is having a bad day it is common for one to vent to a close person about what had happened. This close person is somebody whom one can rely on and can count on to be there during good and bad situations. One’s “person” may be there to give knowledgeable advice or to just have a good time. Friendly love, like romance, is dealing with a relationship shared between two people that care for each

This type of love requires equality. Friendship can be made through associations such as students who attend the same school, or work the same job. These types of friendships are not really friendships and may consist of people who are utilitarian’s because in many cases they do not go out of their way to make friends but rather befriend those who are of use to them. A student may befriend another student in order to help them study for a better grade in a class. An office worker may befriend another person at their job because it is convenient.…

Love is defined as a feeling of attachment, or affection towards someone or something. Although this Germanic word may have its own meaning, to me it means something a little different. For example love is the way my father used to lay in the middle of mine and my sisters room holding both our hands till we fell asleep, reason being that we had nightmares. Love is late night chocolate and ranting sessions my mother and I have over a boy, life, and just to get it all out. It’s the taste of chocolate pudding my little brother makes when people aren’t feeling well, and due to him saying “that’s all I know how to make”.…
