Definition Essay: The Definition Of Success

Improved Essays
What is one thing in life that people can have as much of as they want, yet it will never harm them for having too much of it? The answer is success, but there are multiple challenges to gain it. According to Oxford English Dictionary, the definition of success is the “prosperous achievement of something attempted often with particular attainment of wealth or position” (“success”). Although many people define success similarly, the word has much more meaning, and it can only be achieved when people accomplish their goals set forth.
Success is often gained through a grueling process, which includes failure and disappointment. Success can take many attempts at a goal to become triumphant, and those who keep trying are the ones that succeed.
