In Make Your Home Among Strangers by Jennine Capó Crucet, the author describes how the main character, Lizet, enters a strange new setting, and goes through self growth, as a result of the waning absence of her family. The two stories coincide due to their common theme of leaving home and trying to make it without their dysfunctional families, while paving the way towards self discoverment. Both characters go through the process of self discovery in different ways as well as producing different outcomes, but the message is still clear. Home does not have to be where your family is, it is the place where people feel they belong.…

The definition of cheating has remained uncleared. But as it is considered as wrong, no matter what, the teachers were wrong because cheating was something that they started with a good intention, but not in a right way. Teachers are often tempted to cheat as they think that it is an easier way to get bright results. There is not a single situation where I could describe it to be totally fair or acceptable. According to me the teachers at park middle school were at fault.…

Know yourself and be true to yourself.” Labeling a certain person with a term or phrase can have a negative or positive impact on them. However, certain labels remain in one’s life forever in which getting rid of the labels is hard. Similarly, at age 13 I was labeled as a “cheater” by my administrators and my assistant principal Mrs. Wilkins.…

My definition of cheating is not being capable of coming up with your own idea. Although some people think that cheating is okay or not bad, I like to define it as not trying at all or not being capable enough to be successful on your own, even if you did justified or not. It is never right to take someone else’s idea for your own benefit. If the person gets caught, I think they should not be forgiven or excused for cheating.…

Look at a student who 's excited about receiving an A on a test that he cheated on, for example. That student is not only misleading himself into believing he deserves a grade that he did not earn, he might have also missed an opportunity to learn important information. Consider for a moment a woman who accidentally exits a store with an unpurchased candy bar. She could easily eat the stolen candy bar and move on with her life.…
