What Makes A Hero “Hard times don't create heroes. It is during the hard times when the hero within us is revealed” (Bob Rylie). Easy times is not where the hero within others is revealed. Hard times take the hero out of a person to show to the world. It is during difficult times wheres heroes go the extra mile to for others. If someone cared enough they could help or even save someone during hard times. If everything were easy heroes would not exist because nobody would need them. Even when obstacles seem unbearable, a hero is an ordinary, average person who never gives up and make sacrifices for the greater good.
Heroes are everyday, ordinary people that instead of just looking at a problem they stand up and solve the problem. These ordinary people do not wake up in the morning planning to be a hero. Heroism is just solve problems the moment they happen without any hesitation.

Heroes persevere through the worst challenges imaginable. While most people will give up if a challenge becomes unbearable, heroes stay that extra mile and fight till they solve the problem. For instance, a letter written to a mother states, “What surprises me, however, is that although I know she is afraid, she fights this lethal disease every moment of everyday, and she does it with a smile” (An Everyday Hero). Ana does not wear a cape and fight crime but she still fights. What makes her extraordinary is she does is with a smile. To illustarte is teachers who make sure even the kids with the lowest grade pass their class by helping them. Another example is, Frederick Douglass escaping to be a free man. Douglass did not escape for only himself, he escaped for future generations. Fighting cancer, giving a child extra help to pass, and fighting for freedom all persevere through challenges by never giving
