Thomas Jefferson once said, “I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than those attending too small a degree of it.” As Americans we have the benefits of freedom every day of our lives. We tend to forget how blessed we are to live in a country where teenage boys don’t have to serve in the military, men and woman can vote for their leaders, and children may go to school and get an education. Moreover, we can go to the doctor and walk out with a cure, we can choose to believe whatever we want, and we can go through our day with ease. Freedom is a privilege.
